Social dimension of the activity of scientific societies

Objective
The aim of the 3rd Congress of Scientific Societies is to discuss the importance of participation of scientific societies and scientific and technical associations in shaping social awareness and their role in the development of science, culture and economy in the regional and supra-regional dimension. The subject of reflection will also be the current place of the social scientific movement in the system of science and the state.

Proposed problem sessions
- The role and tasks of scientific societies in shaping attitudes and social awareness.
- Scientific societies and scientific and technical associations NOT for the development of the economy. Assessment of the contribution of scientific societies to the development of technical and exact sciences as well as the economy of the country and regions.
- The role of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Council of Scientific Societies in the social scientific movement.
- Tasks of scientific societies in the development and dissemination of science. Social scientific movement in the system of Polish science. The influence of scientific societies on the development of science in Poland. Assessment of the contribution of scientific societies to the dissemination of science and the organization of congresses and conferences disseminating science. Contribution of societies to modern forms of disseminating science (science festivals, science picnics).
Publication
It is planned to publish a reviewed collective publication. The editors of the volume will select the texts.
