The Congress of Scientific Societies is a meeting aimed at presenting and assessing the contribution of the social scientific movement to the development of the country and local communities.

The first Congress was held on September 17-18, 2013 in Warsaw under the slogan "Scientific societies in Poland - heritage, culture, science, duration", and the second - on September 14-15, 2018 in Poznań under the slogan "Role scientific societies in the development of civic and cultural awareness ”.

The objective of the 1st Congress was to present and evaluate the contribution of the social scientific movement to the development of the country and local communities, as well as to discuss the current place and role of the social scientific movement in the system of culture, national heritage and science, and to report its dissemination in Poland.

The aim of the 2nd Congress was to present the contribution of the social scientific movement to the development of national, civic and cultural awareness in the period since Poland regained independence on November 11, 1918 and to evaluate this contribution, as well as to discuss the current place of the social scientific movement in the science system in Poland .

The third Congress is scheduled for October 20-22, 2022 and is to be held in Gdańsk under the slogan "Social dimension of the activities of scientific societies".
