On September 17, another plenary session of the Council was held in a hospitable city in Płock, devoted to the problems of scientific societies in connection with the Law on Higher Education and Science, the amendment of which has been announced. Council members referred to the issues discussed in the papers presented at the conference entitled The Social Science Movement in the Process of Change. It was said, inter alia, about the underestimation of the subjectivity of societies in the scientific policy of the state, the lack of financing paths for activities, difficulties in motivating young researchers to participate in scientific work carried out by societies, evaluation of scientific journals and publications. During the discussion, a proposal was made to create a catalog of common problems of societies and associations.
